Jaina Solo Had a Type:

I'm having a "reminiscing about the Star Wars EU" day (when it was good it was very, very good, and when it was bad, lol, I still read it) and thanks to @ice-connoisseur mentioning familiarity with Jaina Solo more through fic & wikis... I find myself compelled to share two Random Scenes From Jaina Solo's Love Life that, though I haven't reread these books ever, have somehow stayed with me over half my life:

Leia, telling Jag Fel, Jaina's love interest at the time, how to find a young Jedi named Zekk... who happens to be Jaina's childhood sweetheart:

"He looks a bit like a young Kyp Durron- dark hair and green eyes, similar height..."

[Leia] trailed off and she studied Jag appraisingly.

For a moment Jag thought she might comment on the fact that this description could just as well have been applied to him.

In his opinion, there were far too many dark-haired, green-eyed men in Jaina Solo's orbit.

The EU at its height: ah yes the once-roguish teenage crush, the troublemaking bad boy of Jedi Masters who's too old for her, and the by-the-book rival pilot... are all A Suspiciously Similar Physical Type and forced to awkwardly recognize this themselves and deal with Leia & Han also noting this resemblance and its implications on Jaina's interests thereof. "Legends" is right.

pretty sure this is the one & only time I have seen this happen in fiction... though IRL some folks' romantic interests sure tend to be A Certain Type...

Also, from a later book (the trilogy where the EU totally lost me to be honest... there may have been mind-melding bugs... but still) this moment :

Han, over ship comms, in response to Jag Fel (his daughter's then-ex) telling them he really doesn't want to shoot them down:

"Do what you have to do, kid. I always liked Kyp Durron better anyway."

(Leia then slaps off the comms to demand Han, are you crazy - less so for antagonizing the guy in command of a fleet they're face, more so because - Kyp?!)
